Location
Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge is situated in the south western region of Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The lodge has it's own access gate.
Pilanesberg Game Reserve hosts the Big 5 amongst many other mammals and bird species. Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge, has a five star grading from the Tourism Grading Council (TGCSA) and is one of South Africa's largest private game lodges.
It is situated in the North West Province and is in a malaria free area close to Sun City and approximately 2 hours drive from Johannesburg, or about 40 minutes flight.

HIGH SEASON

R 2 800 per person per night sharing - 13 Family Suites based on 4 persons
R 6 000 per suite per night - 4 Executive Suites (2 adults)
LOW SEASON

R 2 450 per person per night sharing -13 Family Suites (based on 4 persons)

Single supplement - 50% of the per person sharing rate applicable to standard & family rooms
Children under the age of 12 years - 50% of the standard room per person
sharing rate when sharing with two adults in the executive suites or with 4
adults in the family suites. Children would then be accommodated on a sleeper
couch.

Rate inclusions: Accommodation, all meals, teas & snacks and two daily
safari activities.
Rate exclusions: Conservation levy of R 100.00 per person per stay, all drinks

Accommodation
The design feature accommodates 60 beds in 13 family suites (136m²) and 4 spacious executive suites (86m²) situated adjacent a magnificent main lodge. Each suite features:
- King size beds.
- Full en-suite bathroom and outside shower.

The family suites offer two en-suite master bedrooms with a shared lounge and patio. The family suites can also be configured in such a way as to offer a luxury suite option as well as a standard room option.
The executive suites offer one en-suite master bedroom with a lounge and patio. In addition, guests can savour an indoor steam shower and double outdoor shower. The placement and design of each suite ensures privacy and uninterrupted views. Each suite offers the highest quality equipment with plasma screen TV, Satellite Television and a mini-business centre.
Main Lodge Features
The magnificent main lodge provides all the necessary facilities and amenities in a stylish atmosphere and picturesque setting. It acts as a central gathering point and social environment for all guests as well as the point from which all the activities depart and return. The featured architecture and interior design are the hallmark of the whole lodge, and flawless finishes leave no detail overlooked.

Children

- Children under the age of 12 are permitted on safari at the sole discretion of the manager or guide
- Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on safari and, where possible, a kiddies safari will be arranged between normal safari times
- Baby sitting can be arranged at the lodge at an additional charge

The central guest facilities at this 5 star lodge includes rim-flow swimming pool, gourmet restaurant, open entertainment decks, cigar lounge, Amani Spa and conference facility.
The lodge offers commanding views of the distant bushveld amphitheatre and is superbly positioned adjacent to the Wilderness Area, thus offering the opportunity of walking trails in this untouched environment.
Amani Spa
The Amani Spa, winner of the coveted Les Nouvelles Esthetiques Safari Spa of 2010 Award in South Africa, offers 3 private treatment rooms, 2 of which cater for couples, and one of which includes a stunning hydrotherapy bath. All the rooms look directly into the surrounding bushveld for an absorbing experience.

Shepherd's Tree has included a dedicated state-of-the-art conference and functions centre among its facilities. Please enquire into the availability of all necessary equipment before concluding your conference or function planning. The facility provides for a several layouts and the classroom-type layout makes provision for at most 70 delegates.

Directions
Shepard's Tree Game Lodge is in Pilanesberg Game Reserve near Sun City in the North West Province and access is via the Bakgatla Gate. It is about 2 hours drive from Johannesburg. There are flights from Johannesburg.
